Nevada’s 2024 Presidential Election
The 2024 Nevada presidential primary election will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. It will be held concurrently with the New Hampshire primary, as the second contests in the primaries, following the South Carolina primary on February 3.
The Democratic Party will hold a closed primary, meaning that only registered Democrats will be able to vote. The Republican Party will hold a semi-closed primary, meaning that only registered Republicans and independents who have not voted in a Democratic primary in the past year will be able to vote.
Early voting will begin on Saturday, January 27, 2024 and run through Friday, February 2, 2024. The Effective System for Absentee Elections (EASE) will be available to use not later than Saturday, December 23, 2023.
The deadline for candidates to file for the Democratic primary is Monday, October 16, 2023. The deadline for candidates to file for the Republican primary is also Monday, October 16, 2023, but only if more than one Republican candidate files. If only one Republican candidate files, there will be no Republican primary.
The 2024 Nevada presidential primary election is expected to be a competitive race, with both the Democratic and Republican candidates vying for the state’s 48 delegates to the respective national conventions. Nevada is a swing state, and its delegates could be crucial in determining the outcome of the presidential election.
